Boston magazine released its Best of Boston 2026 honorees on July 10, and Mooo…. was named Best All-Day Steakhouse. The award sits in a dedicated steakhouse section of this year’s dining categories, and it recognizes the restaurant across all three of its dining rooms in Beacon Hill, Seaport, and Burlington.
In their write-up, the magazine’s editors pointed to the original Beacon Hill location and the fact that its kitchen stays open through the afternoon, singling out the prime-brisket French dip as a reason to come in at lunch. That has been the idea behind Mooo…. from the start: a steakhouse should be just as worth the trip at one in the afternoon as it is at eight at night.

The Best of Boston Soiree
On July 22, Boston magazine brought this year’s honorees together under one roof at Roadrunner for the Best of Boston Soiree. The evening is a walk-around tasting, which means the winning restaurants are not just listed on a wall. They set up stations, cook on site, and hand the food to guests themselves.
Representing Mooo…. and Columbus Hospitality Group that night were:
- Hoshang Dadrass, Director of Hospitality
- Erin Flaherty, Director of Guest Services
- Andrew Cregg, General Manager, Mooo…. Beacon Hill
- David Daniels, Executive Chef, Mooo…. Beacon Hill
Ney Rodriguez, Executive Chef, Mooo…. Burlington

Japanese Wagyu Beef Dumplings, Plated to Order
Chef Daniels and Chef Rodriguez served Japanese Wagyu Beef Dumplings with soy and ginger, finished one at a time as guests came through. It is a small dish that carries a lot: the marbling of Japanese Wagyu, a clean ginger note, and enough restraint to let the beef do the talking.
The good news for anyone who missed the Soiree is that this was not a one-night special. Japanese Wagyu Beef Dumplings are available at every Mooo…. location, so the dish that represented us at Best of Boston is the same one waiting on the menu tonight.

What “All-Day” Really Means
Plenty of steakhouses are built for one occasion. Mooo…. was built for the whole day, and the Best of Boston recognition is really a nod to the people who make that possible. An all-day kitchen means a team that is ready for a business lunch, a hotel guest at three in the afternoon, and a celebration dinner, all with the same standard on the plate.
That consistency is a credit to the chefs, managers, and service teams across Beacon Hill, Seaport, and Burlington. This one belongs to them.
